1967 Fender Wildwood Acoustic

The Fender Wildwood series was made from 1966 to 1971 and featured a solid spruce top with dyed beechwood back and sides. This is a “IV” which denotes the color of the dye on the back and sides. In this case Gold and purple. The purple has faded somewhat over time and was always quite light. The gold on the sides is still quite prominent.

While Fender’s prowess in building electric guitars has always overshadowed their acoustic line, they did make some decent acoustic models in this era. The Wildwood was one of the nicer sounding and looking models. Check out this endorsement!
